Pape Alamine Sarr.
Hosting
The application is hosted by Render Services, Inc. (render.com) and its database by Neon, Inc. (neon.tech). The application servers are located in the United States (Oregon region).
License and source code
Kaddu's code is released as open source under the AGPL-3.0 license, so it can be inspected and verified publicly: github.com/elhadjipapealaminesarr-creator/kaddu-zama. Any reuse, including via an online service, must comply with this license (making the source code available under the same terms).
Intellectual property
The name « Kaddu », the logo and the visual identity are the property of their publisher. The source code, however, is distributed under the free AGPL-3.0 license (see above). Fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) is provided by Zama's technology (Concrete library), under its own licenses.
Nature of the service
Kaddu is a neutral tool for decision-making and coordination. Kaddu never holds, transfers or manages money: for tontines, the app only acts as a tamper-proof referee (a ledger of contributions declared by members), while money transfers happen elsewhere, directly between people. Kaddu provides no legal, financial or tax advice; the information shown does not replace a professional's opinion.
Blockchain component (experimental)
Some features rely on smart contracts deployed on the Sepolia test network (Zama Protocol / fhEVM). This is a demonstration network: its tokens have no real monetary value and these features are provided experimentally.
Reports and alerts
The alert vault is a tool intended for lawful, good-faith use. It does not replace official reporting channels (authorities, courts). As sensitive content is encrypted, the publisher has no access to it and does not moderate this data: each user remains responsible for what they publish.
Liability
Kaddu is provided « as is », with no guarantee of continuous availability or freedom from errors. The organizer of a vote, tontine or tender is solely responsible for its use, the lawfulness of their approach and the resulting decisions. To the extent permitted by law, the publisher cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect damage related to use of the service.
Governing law and disputes
The service is governed by Senegalese law, in particular Law No. 2008-12 of 25 January 2008 on the protection of personal data. Users located in the European Union also benefit from the GDPR. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first; failing that, the competent courts of Dakar (Senegal) may be seized, subject to applicable consumer-protection rules.
This document aims to inform users clearly. For use by an official organization, have it reviewed by a lawyer in light of your situation and applicable regulations.
